My creative practice is rooted in the intersection of culture, identity, and connection. Growing up in multicultural Singapore, I am shaped by the coexistence of diverse traditions and perspectives. This has informed my exploration and view of movement, how traditional Eastern dance forms and Western contemporary techniques can merge to create new expressions of embodiment and storytelling.

 

I am trained in southeast asian and contemporary dance forms, my movement language values both and I view the body as a vessel of memory, emotion, and lived experience. My practice embraces vulnerability, rawness, and authenticity, tying in roots and culture.

 

As a choreographer and performance maker, I am drawn to storytelling as a means of connection. My works often integrate physical and immersive theatre, inviting audiences into intimate spaces of shared reflection. I am interested in performances that challenge perception and evoke empathy through honesty and presence.

 

Ultimately, my choreographic practice seeks to create dialogue, between cultures, between forms, and between people while continually questioning what dance and performance can be in an ever-evolving, multicultural world.
